Air Conditioning

Summit Motors has all the necessary equipment and know how to maintain your air conditioning system to give maximum performance. Over a period of time a car A/C system will gradually lose refrigerant gas thus reducing its ability to suitably cool the vehicle interior in times of high ambient temperatures. The refrigerant gas is naturally lost as it permeates through various joints and seals between the system components.

An A/C gas evacuation and regas once a year will ensure the system is capable of maximum cooling performance and will also ensure that the air we breathe inside the vehicle is clean and low in bacteria content. Please contact a member of our team to discuss your requirements.

Courtesy Cars

Being without your car whilst it is being serviced or repaired can be quite disruptive. In an effort to reduce this inconvenience, Summit Motors have five courtesy car vehicles available to customers (subject to age and restrictions).

The courtesy car option is ever more popular with customers, so if you wish to take us up on this offer, please give us as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment.

Please note that none of these courtesy car vehicles are available for normal rental.

The customer's own vehicle must be with Summit Motors for service or repair in order for us to comply with the terms and conditions of our insurer.

MOT Preparation

If your vehicle is more than 3 years old, then it requires an MOT. Any vehicle that is in good condition and that has been regularly serviced and maintained to manufacturer's specifications should be able to pass an MOT test.

You can have your vehicle tested up to 30 days before the MOT expiry date to give you maximum opportunity for repair-if your vehicle passes the MOT test, any time left is added to the 12 months, i.e. 12 months + 30 days max. Please contact our service department on 01628 636001 to arrange an MOT for your car or possibly to combine the test with a routine or annual service.
